Newil&Bau and Urban Partners are joining forces to develop over one thousand next‑generation N&B Homes in Finland

Newil&Bau has entered a strategic partnership with the Nordics’ leading private investment firm Urban Partners (formerly Nrep) to develop and bring long-awaited, beautifully designed and sustainable housing to Finnish market.

The partnership aims to develop and build over one thousand next-generation N&B homes over the next five years. Capital from funds managed by Urban Partners enables projects to launch without housing company loans when needed. This is a critical advantage at a time when financing of traditional housing development has tightened.

We want to offer beautifully designed, high-quality, and reasonably priced homes. The partnership will develop residential buildings under the next-generation housing concept launching on 25 March 2026. The first joint project will be N&B Herttoniemi, a development of approximately one hundred owner-occupied apartments planned for the Herttoniemi district in Helsinki, forming part of a city block developed by Urban Partners. A building permit application is currently underway, with construction of the block targeted to begin by summer. 

Urban Partners is responsible for the financing and development management of the project, while Newil&Bau provides the concept, marketing, sales and customer service. 

All Urban Partners and Newil&Bau projects set a high bar for sustainability. The goal is low-carbon new-build homes, achieved using renewable energy, low-carbon materials, and smart, predictive building technology. For example, N&B Herttoniemi will target the highest Platinum level of international LEED environmental certification and will be delivered in compliance with EU taxonomy criteria.
