There is demand for next-generation living – more than 3,500 people already on our Gen2 waitlists
Our next-generation Gen2 concept, launched in March, has been met with a strong response. More than 3,500 people have already joined the waitlists for our first developments, and nearly 80 per cent of the homes at N&B Tapiola were reserved during the first reservation weekend. Reservations open next in Herttoniemi on 21 October and in Lauttasaari on 4 November. Our first approximately 200 Gen2 smart homes are being built in Tapiola, Lauttasaari and Herttoniemi.
For thousands of years, architecture has been guided by beauty, durability and utility. Gen2 adds a fourth pillar alongside them: intelligence. We think of the home as a consumer product designed around your everyday life. You choose the look of your home in N&B Studio, control it with the N&B app and access everyday services with a single tap.
“More than 3,500 people on our waitlists in just a few months and a reservation rate of nearly 80% in Tapiola have exceeded our expectations. They show that there is demand for our product-driven approach to developing homes. Our vision is to change what people think new-build living can be,” says Newil&Bau’s founder and CEO Petri Ylivuori.
Newil is in the details – now more beautiful, durable and practical than ever
To us, a home is more than walls and a roof. We design the living experience as a whole, from buying a home to using it every day. Our Gen2 concept is based on product-driven residential development, in which the same high quality standards, well-considered floor plans and features that make living easier are repeated across all our developments.
Our design is guided by our Newil is in the details philosophy. In our Gen2 homes, we have combined the best solutions from our previous developments with the feedback we have received from our customers. The result is six apartment types designed for different stages of life, in which every detail has a purpose.
A shared quality standard does not, however, mean identical buildings. Each of our buildings has its own architectural identity, drawn from its surroundings.
N&B Lauttasaari was designed by Ted Schauman, N&B Tapiola by Sarlotta Narjus and N&B Herttoniemi by Tom Cederqvist.
“We want every Gen2 home to be as carefully considered as a well-designed product. The quality and key features are the same whether the home is in Tapiola, Lauttasaari or Herttoniemi,” says Ylivuori.
Personalise your home with over a billion different combinations
One of the most significant innovations in Gen2 is the digital N&B Studio, which brings a new kind of freedom to buying a home. It lets you design your future home to suit you as effortlessly as you would personalise a new car.
You can personalise your home with 22 different choices, which add up to more than a billion possible combinations. From options designed by our interior architects, you choose the overall look of your home, the details of the kitchen and bathroom, the materials and the smart home features you want. You can see instantly how each choice affects the look of your home and its total price.
You can also explore the materials and interior options at our N&B Showroom on Museokatu in Helsinki.
Smart home, shared spaces and services in one app
In our Gen2 homes, smart technology makes living smoother. Our N&B app acts as the user interface for your home: you can open doors with your phone, control lighting, curtains and temperature, and monitor your energy consumption.
The same app also brings together the building’s shared spaces and everyday services. All our Gen2 buildings have a gym and remote working spaces, among other amenities. In Tapiola and Lauttasaari, residents also have access to a spa and a wine lounge, while in Herttoniemi there is a top-floor sauna suite.
With the N&B app, you can book and pay for the use of shared spaces and order services that make everyday life easier, such as cleaning and installation help. In this way, the home, shared spaces and services form one seamless living experience.
“The role of technology is to make everyday life simpler and to make things possible that were not possible before. We want the key functions of the home, the shared spaces and the services to be found in one place and to work as effortlessly as possible,” says Ylivuori.
